Letting go, moving on

Forget about it, leave it
Let it stay at its place where it should be
The people, the place, the ideas, the memories
Channel energy to where your life would be.

New experiences, new beginnings
Like a new chapter that triggers curiosity
The excitement, the discoveries
Energy that flows is yours truly

There are multiple chapters in one’s life and often, there are those that needs to be closed — Be it the personal relationships, the hobby, the workplace or the company. Something led it to that stage, and finding out why, what or how, has got little meaning. We tend to rationalise about how things be different, we make up stories that may not be true and if they are not positively structured, they tend to reserve as a bad memory, feeling that cultivates into something that eats us up. Maybe one day we will find ourselves knowing the whys, the whats and the hows.

The cliche talk about how life or time moves on without you, or that the earth spins without you is cringy yet a fact. Give ourselves the time and space, to feel all that it matters — the injustice, the grief, the sadness, the disappointment.

When a day comes with the memory of the past, we would have much more clarity to the whys, the whats and the hows. Then take that time to retrieve the good parts — the learnings, the fond memories, the happy moments and the joy. Let it sink to fill your soul with the wonderful and good. Be glad it was over, you’ve let go of a past that has served you, and one that is no longer serving you.
